Prof Dr Frank Überall (born 1971) teaches media and social sciences at the HMKW University for Media, Communication and Economics (Cologne / Berlin). His focus is on political behavior in connection with public structures. After studying political science, education and history in Cologne, Überall did his doctorate on "Klüngel in Cologne's political culture" with Prof. Dr. Hans-Georg Wehling in Tübingen. As a non-fiction author, Überall wrote about corruption, resignations from politicians and right-wing extremism. He works as a freelance journalist primarily for the radio and television editorial teams of WDR and ARD as well as for daily newspapers and online media. He reported for the German Press Agency (dpa) for twelve years. In November 2015, he was elected federal chairman of the German Association of Journalists (DJV).
