The writer Kathrin Röggla (* 1971, Salzburg) lives in Cologne and Berlin. She published many volumes of prose, most recently “Nachtsendung. Unheimliche Geschichte ”(2016), literary essays such as“ Bauernkriegspanorama ”(2020), for which she received the“ Wortmektiven ”award, and theater texts, most recently“ Normal earners ”(2017). She has received numerous literary prizes for her literary work, most recently the Austrian Art Prize (2020). Since this year she has been teaching as a professor for literary writing at the KHM in Cologne. She is a member of the Darmstadt Academy for Language and Poetry and the Academy of Arts in Berlin, of which she has been Vice President since 2015.
