Member of the Bundestag (CDU/CSU)
Ansgar Heveling (CDU), 46, has been a Member of the German Bundestag since 2009. He serves on the Committee on Legal Affairs and Consumer Affairs (Rapporteur for copyright law) and on the Committee for the Scrutiny of Elections. He is also a Substitute Member of the Committee on Internal Affairs and the Committee on Cultural and Media Affairs. Since January 2018 Ansgar Heveling has been the legal adviser to the CDU/CSU parliamentary group. Ansgar Heveling has previously served as the Chairman of the Committee on Internal Affairs (2015-2017) and as the spokesperson of the CDU/CSU parliamentary group on the Committee on Cultural and Media Affairs (2014-2017). Prior to serving in the Bundestag, Ansgar Heveling worked as a lawyer and as personal assistant and vice head of the ministerial office of the Finance Minister of North Rhine-Westphalia. He represents the people of his home electoral district of Krefeld/Neuss.
